In the exhibition “Kirchmoarhof”, Melina Hennicker, Michael Schmidt and Andreas Woller explore the farm of the same name in the municipality of Winden near Haag (Germany), which was built around 1860. In order to familiarise themselves with the various temporal layers, cultural codes and narratives that have been inscribed into the site over the centuries as the result of numerous alterations, the artists have repeatedly lived and worked on the farm. In the exhibition, they transfer elements of the farm’s structures to the Neue Galerie Innsbruck by means of spatial-architectural installations as well as digital and analogue media and so create a hybrid environment in which a fictitious rural community emerges.
