UNFIXED PLACE, AMBIGUOUS TIME
Vigan Nimani, kuratiert von Seda Yıldız
The exhibition Unfixed Place, Ambiguous Time brings together paintings, drawings, photographs and sound works of Vigan Nimani (1981, RKS) to take a broader look into the artist‘s practice from 2010 to present. Nimani has been documenting the erasure of modernist architecture in Kosovo through compiling found images and his own photography. While the artist’s archive creates a dependable documentation, his paintings, often sourced from archival material, enable circulation of cultural memory. For the fi rst time outside Kosovo, a wide selection of works
accompanied by an audio performance at the opening night will be on display.
